THIS IS BELONGING
Everyone wants to belong to something. A football team, a family, a close-knit group of friends. The sense of belonging you find in the Army is next level. When you’ve trained together, side by side, learned things no classroom can teach you. When you’ve lived together and worked together, it creates a bond like no other. A bond that lasts a lifetime, and sees you through whatever life throws at you.

Sign on for four years and we’ll give you a joining bonus of £5,000 when you complete Phase 2 training.

Our Communication Systems Operators are key to our success in combat. Using the best technology, they give us the all-important advantage in the battlefield. It’s incredibly sensitive – and exciting – work. With excellent training provided, you’ll become an expert in IT and electronic warfare technology, gaining qualifications (and a story or two) along the way.

Communications is the future, and our Communication Systems Operators are winning the fight in the electronic battle space. Working alongside combat teams and, on occasion, helping the Intelligence Corps and bomb disposal teams, Systems Operators use their skills to intercept a range of battlefield signals and messages. Applying their new-found knowledge, our Systems Operators are essential to helping secure the safety of our troops.

WORLD-CLASS TRAINING
Basic training will teach you soldier skills, like how to survive outdoors and fire weapons. The training will also develop your fitness before you progress to learning your specialism at the Royal School of Signals. You will learn about radio waves, and how to use different equipment to intercept enemy messages. And, once you finish Phase 2 training, you’ll be promoted to Lance Corporal – meaning a pay rise and exciting new responsibilities.

Remember, if you’ve signed on for four years, we’ll give you a joining bonus of £5,000 when you complete Phase 2 training.
