Sales Engineer / Accounts Manager

The Company\n\nOur client is a niche manufacturing company. A leader in their field they are now recruiting for a Sales Engineer/Account Manager.\n\nThe Role\n\n * You will be responsible for growing the existing customer base in current and new markets to achieve a sustainable and profitable ongoing business.\n\n * Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the company.\n\n * Promote and increase the sales of products.\n\n * Raising the company profile by attending exhibitions and tradeshows.\n\n * Ability to understand technical drawings.\n\n * Identifying new projects such as product development to tap into new markets sectors.\n\n * Keeping up to date with competitor and market activity in the business area.\n\n * Create and implement strategy for the growth pipeline.\n\n * Develop and implement a structured sales plan for your customers.\n\n * Ensure that a comprehensive database and excellent records are maintained.\n\n * Establishing, maintaining, and expanding your client base.\n\n * Proactively reach out to customers.\n\n * Compiling and analysing sales figures and producing reports.\n\n * Manage sales from concept stage through to enquiry and pricing.\n\n * Follow up identified leads and quotations.\n\n * Site based in the Newcastle area plus occasional travel.\n\nThe Person\n\n * Previous experience in a similar role.\n\n * Excellent communicator both in written and verbal forms.\n\n * An understanding of construction would be beneficial.\n\n * Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.\n\n * Proficient numerical skills and ability to demonstrate job costing and pricing.\n\n * Excellent attention to detail.\n\n * An ability to read and understand CAD drawings.\n\n * Must have a driving licence and car.\n\nThe Benefits\n\n * You will be working for a well-established growing employer.\n\n * An excellent salary.\n\n * Annual performance bonus scheme.\n\n * A good pension scheme.\n\n * A company experiencing continued growth, expansion and investment.\n\n * The company are fully compliant with the latest health and safety requirements for current safe working practices
