SEND Programme Project Worker (Further Education)\nAbout Us\nhalow supports over 350 young adults with learning disabilities and autism to live a life of purpose. Learning new skills, becoming more independent and leading them to live the life they’ve always wanted.\nJob Description\nLocation: Guildford and Woking, with some sessions delivered across Surrey venues.\nHours: Full time 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with occasional weekends and evenings for specific events (Potential for term time only contracts).\nAnnual Leave: 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays, can be taken flexibly throughout the year.\nTraining: Fully paid training is given and further development opportunities are available.\nBenefits: Blue Light Card & retail discounts; AIG Smart Health App; 24-hour employee assistance programme; Staff Referrals Bonus Scheme; Workplace Pension Scheme; Cycle2Work Scheme; Travel season ticket advances; Free eye tests.\nStart Date: We are hiring for the new academic year in September, with an estimated start date of the beginning of August.\nYou will be responsible for:\n * \n Supporting the delivery of sessions to groups of between 6-12 young adults\n * \n Encouraging learners to participate in facilitated sessions.\n * \n Safely transporting learners around the community to different venues.\n * \n Providing a high level of service and support to our participants, colleagues and stakeholders\n * \n Safeguarding ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation.\nRequirements\n * \n Experience of working with individuals with a learning disability.\n (Within education or social or youth work).\n * \n Excellent communication and organisation skills\n * \n Enthusiastic and caring\n * \n Confident in supporting and group sessions\n * \n Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.\n * \n Aged 18 and above.\n * \n Right to work in the UK.\n * \n Willing to provide suitable reference and undertake a DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.\nInterviews for this role are ongoing and we reserve the right to make an appointment during the advertising period, so early applications are encouraged
