Are you a Tendering Engineer or Estimator from a power generation or energy background looking to step into a lead role within a global business, working on high-value projects from £2m up to £30m+ while significantly increasing your earnings through a strong bonus structure?

A leading international power generation specialist delivering low-carbon energy and battery storage solutions. Established in the 1980s, the business designs, builds and maintains complex energy systems including gas engines, CHP, biogas, landfill gas and large-scale battery storage (BESS). They partner with public sector organisations, industrial clients and energy developers to deliver turnkey projects that improve energy efficiency and support net zero targets.

With a strong international footprint and multi-million-pound turnover, they are recognised for technical excellence, innovation, and delivering reliable, sustainable energy infrastructure at scale.

In this role, you will take ownership of preparing and submitting detailed, competitive tenders for power generation and battery storage projects. You will review full engineering packages, build accurate cost models, assess technical and commercial risk, and produce high-quality bid submissions. You will also engage with clients, support clarifications, and carry out site visits where required to fully understand project scope and requirements.

This role would suit a Tendering Engineer or Estimator from a power generation, energy, or similar heavy engineering background who wants to work on major low-carbon infrastructure projects within a globally recognised organisation.

The Role:

• Prepare and submit competitive tenders for power generation and battery storage projects valued from £2m-£30m+

• Review engineering packages and assess technical and commercial viability

• Work across CHP, gas engines, biogas, landfill gas and BESS projects

• Produce detailed cost estimates, proposals and formal bid submissions

The Person:

• Experience as an Estimator or Tendering Engineer within power generation, energy, or similar sector

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Able to commute to Manchester / hybrid working
